I now have a 2007 207 1.6HDI sport 90hp, after changing the egr valve and boost pressure solenoid I fitted a boost gauge, under acceleration the boost pressure fluctuates from 20 psi at full throttle to nothing (like I come off the throttle for half a second) it does this under any boost.
Boost Issue 1.6 HDI. Posted on here a while ago regarding having a boost issue with my 407. It's been a long standing issue that's never been resolved after taking the car to several garages. No boost until 3500 rpm. Very sluggish, de pollution system fault. New EGR, new MAF sensor.

1.6 hdi noise. Hi, i had a 2011 Ford focus with 1.6TDCi engine (which is the 1.6HDi) engine and after a while it started making a weird noise when pressing the gas pedal. I recorded the noise. I visited a mechanic and they told me its nothing wrong with the car. After a while I sold it. Then, i wanted to buy a 308 Peugeot with the 1.6HDi engine.

If you look up the 407 with your engine on the site Red Sector recommended you find that there was one clutch kit for your model up to build code 10782 (17th May 2006) & after that it used a different clutch kit. Up to 17/05/06 - Part number 2052 33.
19 Nov 2010 #1 Starting to consider searching for an 05/06 Peugeot 407, would be hopefully driving it a while so would want to get some nice wheels on and some coilovers. Does anyone have a 407 in diesel and could tell me what kind of car they are, what problems to expect, etc?
